The Penquite Ensemble
One of Perran's great loves was his French horn(s). Every year at Penquite, he hosted a small and dedicated school of ten musicians, plus teachers. The musicians will play some of the music that brought them together. They will also play a piece composed by Perran, and entitled Reicha's Breakfast.
Professor Laurence Harris
Laurence Harris is Professor of Economics at the Department of Finance & Management Studies at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) in London. He and Perran worked together over many years and together ran summer courses at SOAS.
Professor Jonathan Story
Jonathan Story is Emeritus Professor of International Political Economy at INSEAD. Jonathan and Heidi, his wife, were close friends of Edith, Perran's mother, and have continued their friendship down the generations. Since retiring, Jonathan has dedicated himself to opera.
